Getting Started

What kinds of teams and organizations use Superstructures?

Superstructures is built for teams of all kinds across the organization. Each structure can host can host up to 50 participants and an unlimited number of viewers.

How do I create an account and get started?

1. Create an account here.
2. You can create an account with Google SSO or your own email if you prefer.
3. Once you create an account, you can either Create a Structure or preview the Sample Structures to get an idea of what you can make.

How do I create a structure?

Navigate to app.superstructures.team, select the structure you wish to create, and enter the relevant information. Once you click “Create [x] Structure”, your structure will be live. You can email your participants directly, share the URL with them, or have them go to soops.io and enter the code displayed above the activity.

If you need ideas, you can also use our AI Structure Creator to generate structures for you based on your topic. You can edit any of the structures it creates before you send it to your teammates.

Users can participate in Superstructures on any Chromebook, laptop, or tablet. It also works well on interactive whiteboards. Some features may not work perfectly on tablets/iPads. We do not support participation with mobile devices.

User Accounts

How do participants log in and access structures?

All participants need to create accounts and log in to contribute to structures. Once a user has contributed to a structure, it will appear in their Shared Structures tab on their dashboard for easy access in the future.

How is user data protected and kept private?

Please see our  terms & conditions, privacy policy, and 3rd party data sharing agreement for more details.

Are there any limits to the number of users who can participate in a structure?

No limits! We have successful structures with up to 50 participants.

Using Superstructures

Our team repeats the same meeting type often. How can I reuse structures?

We have a "Replicate Structure" option that will duplicate the entire structure setup (including any titles, labels, dots written in Spectrum and Dot Plot, and contributions made by the structure's creator) without copying other user contributions. It's perfect for reusing the same structure every week, month, or quarter.

You can access Replicate Structure while viewing any structure (including a sample!) by clicking the ... menu in the top left. You can also access it from the ... icon while viewing structures on your dashboard.

Do I need to project the structure onto a large screen?

It is up to you! Some facilitators like to project their view at the front of the room. All participants will be able to join, participate, and see other contributions to an activity from their own device, though it can be helpful to have a group view in some settings.

Features

What is the AI Insights view?

When you click Show AI Insights, you will have access to several different features that help your team consolidate and move forward with your discussion. The left panel starts in the Team Progress view, which lists every contributor and their number of contributions; click on a name to expand their section and see every contribution individually. The Activity view provides a live feed of contributions in the order they were created.

The AI Executive Summary generates a TLDR summary and several bullet points about the structure's content to help guide further analysis and decision-making by your team.

Along the bottom of the AI Insights view, panels highlight Patterns, Suggestions, and Highlights about your team's structure. You can also ask Soop, our AI Assistant, a question about the structure and get a personalized answer in seconds.

How do I set a timer?

Click the ... Special Features menu at the top of the activity and select Set Timer. Enter the number of minutes you want. The timer will appear on everyone's screens and notify them as time runs down.

How does Individual Mode work?

Users will only be able to see their own entries; all other entries will be hidden from view.  Once Individual Mode is turned off, all entries will be visible. This mode is designed to facilitate more independent thinking before leading into a collaborative discussion about the results.
